Philosophy

At Hello Mountain Adventures we want kids to explore the outdoors, build relationships, learn technical and social skills and become efficient in outdoor skills. We strive to foster a learning community that encourages kids to connect with nature, themselves, and others. To do this we advocate for participants to be responsible for their own action and words and to be safe by making good decisions to protect themselves physically and emotionally. We want them to speak up and communicate, to be respectful, courteous, kind, encouraging, and honest to others and staff. We encourage free play, bare-feet, trying something new, exploring, learning, experimenting and so much more. We nurture reasoning, empathy, decision making and problem solving to help develop social and technical skills. 

We call on kids to be true to what they think and feel, to be curious, explorative, imaginative, to have fun and enjoy just being a kid.
